The more and more popular adrenaline sport has been present on Kalnik for 15 years. Near the highest peak of Kalnik there are two starts (take off points), up to which leads an asphalt road, but, depending on the start chosen, it is necessary to walk for additional 50-150 meters. The landing point is located in the village Kalnik. The height difference between take off and landing is 280 meters, and car transport from Kalnik to the take off takes only 5 minutes.
The steep rocks of Kalnik with a convenient downhill wind and thermal poles enable large crossings and gliding which can last for several hours. The pilots often needed passports because they end up in Hungary or Slovenia.
Paragliding is permitted only to trained pilots with flying licenses. Before the flight, it is obligatory to inform the flying operator (Edo Lješćanin, phone number: 00385/917679258)
